Froum RulesDamavand Forum Rules Welcome to Damavand Forums. Be nice to each other. Damavand Community Rules This document is designed to clarify various responsibilities of community members here at Damavand Forum. Please read it carefully and become familiar with it as its terms are retroactive and agreed upon by team and group members. These rules can be changed without notice. If you don't comply with these rules you'll have to face a set of sanctions. We also reserve the right to ban anyone who wilfully violates the forum rules. The Damavand Forum team shall be the sole arbitrator of what does and what does not violate community standards. Language The official language of Damavand Forum is English and this is an English speaking community. All post must be made in fluent English. Members are asked to write in common and easy English to be useful for all. We may add other languages later. Important Rules Members should remember this board is aimed at a general audience. Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. The followings posts are not allowed and will not be tolerated and may lead to immediate account deletion without prior notice. Our decision is final for these forbidden matters. 1- Try forum friendly usernames and ids, unusual and strange username/id is not allowed here, do not use special characters and numbers in your username. 2- When registering try to use a real email address relevant to your forum id. We do not allow email addresses from known spam email providers or temporary email address provider with fake username or email address. 3- Each member is allowed one login account. Registering with multiple accounts is not allowed. 4- Do not spam. We hate spasm and it is not tolerated here under any circumstance. 5- Political discussion and any discussion on religion and religious matters is forbidden here. 6- Warez, cracks, serials or illegally obtained copyrighted content are not allowed. 7- Profanity and insults will not be tolerated. We will not tolerate rudeness, profanity, insulting posts, personal attacks or purposeless inflammatory posts, flaming or abusing users in any way. We reserve the right to remove offensive users without notice. 8- Posting p-or no-graphic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. We do not allow posts or links to sites that are 6ual in nature or violate our community standards. 9- Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Users linking to or asking for information on warez, crackz, etc. or re-printing material without permission. 10- You cannot post any affiliate or referral links, or post anything asking for a referral. Such posts will be subject to removal. 11- No blatant advertising. You cannot post advertisements here. Advertising is not permitted and is also considered spam. This includes using the forum, email, visitor messages, weblog comments, picture comments and private message systems to spam other members. 12- Discussion of illegal activities such as software and music piracy and other intellectual property violations are not allowed. 13- The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system. 14- We do not allow people to post threads or to send private messages or emails to users here that advertise or solicit any products, services, funds or donations. Explicit advertising and soliciting in signatures is also prohibited. General Rules 1- Read up before asking! There are many guides and FAQs. Use the search function before posting. Maybe your question has already been answered. 2- Please refrain from posting meaningless threads, one word (or short) non-sense posts, or the such. 3- Post in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum descriptions before posting. Users consistently posting to the wrong forum may be given a warning. 4- Use a title that describes the content of your post. Members should use an appropriate, descriptive subject when posting a new topic. Examples of bad subjects include; "Help me!", "I'm stuck!", "I've got an error!", etc. Examples of good subjects include; "Getting an TABLE FULL error upon login", "Cannot restore a backup", etc. 5- Members should post in a way which is consistent with "normal writing". That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or coloured text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned. 6- No questions outside the forum category. 7- Multiple or repeated posting in order to increase your post count is not allowed. No cross posting. Post your message once, to the appropriate forum and nowhere else or it will be locked or deleted without warning. 8- No all upper case posts. Don't use all caps or special characters to draw attention. 9- Do not send questions pertaining to topics of discussion on this board via personal messages or email to Moderators, they will be ignored. 10- Don't post just to increase your number of posts. If you have nothing to say on a certain matter then don't post. The number of posts on this board has no direct relation to the experience of a member. 11- Please wait a reasonable amount of time before bumping posts. Do not post five minutes after your initial post you reply to your own post writing something like "Why is nobody helping me? I'm sure you know the answer". Once somebody replies to your thread but doesn't give you exactly the answer you've been expecting you insult them. 12- Keep the size of personal images down. 13- Each attachment has to be validated by a moderator to ensure no unwanted content is being posted. 14- If you have a problem with another member turn to the respective moderator. 15- Posts discussing moderator actions are also not allowed. 16- The moderating, support and other teams reserve the right to edit, remove or put on moderation queue any post at any time. Please note that currently any very first post is automatically placed in the moderation queue and will be approved/ disapproved according to the present Rules. The determination of what is construed as indecent, vulgar, spam, etc. as noted in these points is up to Team Members and not users. 17- Members are asked to not act as “back seat moderators”. If members note an issue which contravenes something in this policy document they are welcome to bring it to the attention of a member of the Moderator Team. Please use the “post report” feature to report posts. Do not respond to such topics yourself. Members who constantly “act” as moderators may be warned. 18- No discussion about the rules or their interpretation. The interpretation of these rules is solely up to the owner of this forum and can change at any time without prior notice. 19- Also while these rules cover most common situations, they cannot anticipate everything. Consequently we reserve the right to take any actions we deem appropriate to ensure these forums are not disrupted or abused in any way. Main sources of these rules are phpbb, doom9, vbulletin.
