Mount Sabalan or Savalan Mountain FAQ1

Q- I'm interested in travelling to Iran in early May to climb Mount Sabalan. I'm wondering if this is possible in May and if it is recommended to do it alone or if there are any group expeditions that I could join. There is not much info on the internet about this climb so your help would be greatly appreciated.

A- Climbing Mt Sabalan is difficult in winter and spring, it is necessary to be aware of the weather forecast before you attempt climbing, remember in any season for a successful climb you need a reliable weather. There are heavy snow falls in the area in winter because it is closed to the Caspian Sea. We do not recommend doing it alone in May.
